Damn it has been a minute...
But it's about that time again. Where do i begin? Well, I am extremely thankful to whoever decided to give us a day off. We went three weeks working last month without a break and it sucked so bad. Iraq was interesting at first, but it's getting lame. My interest in learning more arabic has slowly faded away, and I'm somewhat lacking motivation. But that is why I blog, to flush all of this nonsense running through my mind.
I am now driving around these corrupted, disgusting, abolished towns in Northern Iraq. Can't really talk much about that, but I can tell you I've had over 4 trucks in less than 2 months. These fuckin' things just can't give me a break. One actually died on me in the middle of mission, and we eventually had to tow it with another MRAP (now dubbed MCRAPS). corny but true.
I'm doing these online classes, Lord knows why. I thought it would be a good idea since there isn't much to do out here except for work, gym, eat, shower, and sleep. If I knew I was going to start driving out here, I wouldn't have taken these classes. Honestly, these missions are time consuming. I get back to my CHUE and all I want to do is relax, listen to music, or browse the internet for my own special interests, no pun intended. I'm also on my 6th week of P90x, i like the fact the chest workout involves more weights this time.
I want to call my family, I haven't spoken to them in about 2 weeks I believe. I'm glad my mom decided to get a facebook, she lets me know that everything is going well over there!
I really wish people would stop knocking on my door like it's a damn...i don't really fuckin' know but I wish they would stop. It's constant knocking over dumb shit...And this whole week I have to be awake by 0400 to make sure everyone has their sensitive items. Don't ask why these people believe our sensitive items would run off somewhere while we are sleeping. I'm feeling bitter and I hate feeling like this. I think this place is doing it to me.
Or maybe I'm just really sexually frustrated...
....
I HATE IRAQ.
